Intrinsic to good eating is good drinking. The Chip’s wine-list is legendary, with an immense range from the finest of clarets to the most interesting boutique wineries of both the old and new world. Our list is driven by passion. Keeping this up to date is a tireless task we relish on an almost daily basis.
Throughout the evolution of The Chip we have grown to fill the beautiful Victorian mews and courtyard. Complementing our courtyard restaurant are 3 distinctly individual bars. The Big Pub originally opened as a pre-dinner drink space, and has developed into the charismatic local pub it is today.
A few years ago, having run out of space, we had to cut the top off The Chip to create a roof terrace. Even in the depths of winter it is one of the most popular places in the building.
Our Corner Bar serves the finest cocktails in the city and The Wee Pub (the smallest in Scotland) is a great place to stand, chat and wile away a few hours over a dram.
Complementing our wine list we have a vast array of whiskies and intriguing spirits. After 30 years of serving draught Furstenberg as our house pilsner, we would cause civil unrest if we were ever to de-list it.
Whether in the restaurant or in any of the bars our staff are equally knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the drinks we source and serve.
