We Have More!
Some of our favourite restaurants and bars:
Now in it's 13th year, Stravaigin has been pulling crowds to Gibson St, since long before the so called renaissance of the street. Our friendly pub sits above the slightly more formal restaurant. Both serve more or less the the same menus in slightly different surroundings. A space to suit whatever mood you happen to be in. The cooking is honest, fresh, and tasty pulling influences, chefs and techniques from around the world. Our homemade haggis recently won a competition which made headline news across the Antipodeas due to head chef Dan being an Aussie. We've since turned the whole thing on it's head and made Kangaroo haggis. We don't think it comes more eclectic than that. Stravaigin Restaurant
"Stravaigin 2 has it's feet firmly on Scottish soil but the menu embraces the flavours of the world" - The Good Food Guide 2005. Stravaigin 2 has been a firm favourite of the locals in the West End since opening 5 years ago. Once the 'little sister' of Stravaigin on Gibson Street, Stravaigin 2 is now recognised in it's own right and offers quality Scottish produce cooked with international flair in a laid back, informal setting. From award winning haggis with neeps & tatties, and seared Orkney organic salmon with lemon and tarragon crushed rosevale potatoes and verjus beurre blanc, to Chilled soy and mirin dressed soba noodle salad with hot smoked trout, watercress and wakame, and Roast breast of guinea fowl with beetroot and celeriac dauphinoise and buttered cavalo nero, Stravaigin 2 is true to it's think global, eat local ethos. With their genuinely friendly front of house staff imparting helpful knowledge about food and drinks, and their dedicated team in the kitchen, it's easy to see why they take such pride and enjoyment from what they do. Stravaigin 2 is split over 2 floors encompassing a ground floor dining area with disabled access and a first floor dining area that can be privately booked for larger functions.

The Liquid Ship is the new kid on our block. Opened 4 years ago it has gone from strength to strength.
