Where drinks come with stories

The corner bar

Against the backdrop of Ashton Lane, The Corner Bar is where the night can begin, linger, or happily get away from you. With its Art Deco curves, reclaimed tin ceiling, and bar top fashioned from a mortuary slab (yes, really), it’s a space that’s as full of character as the people who drink here.

Opening hours

Wednesday to Thursday, 5pm - 12pm

Friday to Sunday, 12pm - 12am

What makes the Corner Bar special

The drinks list is every bit as eclectic as the setting - hand-picked wines by the glass, a roll call of classic cocktails, well-kept beers on tap, and enough spirits to make a dram-lover blush. Whether you’re sipping a Negroni before dinner, swirling a velvety red while people-watching, or discovering something new with the help of our bartenders, you won’t go thirsty.

If the weather’s playing nice, grab a seat outside and take in the bohemian bustle of the lane - part theatre, part wildlife documentary - where the locals might just strike up a conversation. Inside, it’s warm, atmospheric, and never pretentious.
